About Orange

Orange is a city in Orange County in the US state of California with a population of approximately 130,000 inhabitants. Orange is located south of Los Angeles, about a 20-minute drive by car.


Located on the Northern end in central Orange County, the City of Orange is known as a 'Major city with small-town ambiance'.


Incorporated in 1888, Orange has many homes built prior to 1920 in its Old Town District. It's a delight to drive around this historic town and view these well-preserved old-fashioned homes with their roomy front porches.

History, dining, antiques shopping, malls, cultural attractions and the Old Towne district are some of the many things that attract visitors to this beautiful city.


What is known in Orange?

It is a vibrant commercial district, containing Orange County's oldest operating bank and the oldest operating soda fountain. The Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and is the largest National Register District in California.

Unlike other municipalities in the area, Orange has original neighborhoods where it’s common to find homes built around the time of the city’s founding more than 100 years ago.


Though there’s plenty to do in and around Orange, California. Visitors will also have easy access to many of Los Angeles’ most prominent attractions, as well as some of the Golden State’s most scenic stretches of Pacific coastline in Huntington, Newport, and Laguna beaches to the southwest.
